Lady in Red.

Whole Foods can kiss my pasty white ass, for real. Where do they get off! $2.38 for a bell pepper. It wasn't marked on the shelf, but I'm like "it's a bell pepper, I think I can handle it." I WAS WRONG. But then there's the awkward situation. Like, I don't wanna pay that much for a freakin bell pepper, but I also don't wanna cause a ruckus over a couple bucks. I mean, people already look at me like I just fell off the turnip truck when I walk in there. So I let it go.

56 bucks worth of nothingness and it all fit in ONE freakin' bag. I did buy a Shampoo Bar to try though. But then I looked on the back once I got home and it said "Best for short to medium hair." GREAT. Stupid Whole Foods! It seems like once a year I have to remind myself why I don't go there. Self...consider yourself reminded.

I had to go to Wal-Mart to pick up some staples at reasonable prices. I never felt so greatful for capitalism.

Also, it rained. Which seems like it should be a good thing because it's been so dang hot here lately. But it rained for like 40 seconds then it gets all humid and gross. This is what I looked like when I got home and unloaded the groceries:

This is how red I get after my Bare Minerals melts away. My glasses kept fogging up because of the EXTREME heat comin' off my face. Shit is ridic. Dina cropped this picture for me because she said I looked nude, which WASN'T true. But I figure I don't need to subject you guys to my low hangies on the Lord's day. Maybe on a Thursday or something.

Meatloaf's in the oven for lunches all week. I pureed a bunch of veggies with tomato sauce to try to sneak 'em in. Hopefully it won't suck 'cause I didn't really plan for a backup meal and I DON'T wanna have to go back outside. Stupid freakin' outside.

I'm excited about having Jicama tomorrow. That's weird.

Thank you for always writing your blog with honesty. I never know if I'm going to cry or laugh with your blog. Most of the time it's a mixture of both.,

You need those glasses with the windshield wipers on em. For real.

And you did look all nakey. Rapey and nakey. Both.

Tricia, we don't have a Whole Foods in Greenville, but we have a store called Fresh Market which seems to be about the same thing. I usually stick to whatever is on sale there. They are ridiculous expensive; the only reason I go there is for the hard-to-find like hemp seed and what not. The organic section of my regular grocery stores (Kroger, Food Lion, Harris Teeter) is usually cheaper than the regularly priced produce at a high end store. Also, I get as many of my veggies from the local farmer's market as possible; they are always way cheaper than Wal-mart even.

I plan my weekly menu by the sales papers and my coupons.

I agree on Whole Foods - I can buy 10x the amount of groceries at my store! I wish I could have shared my peppers with you - I got 6 green peppers for $1!

I posted on my site where you can get the 75% reduced fat cheese - its at Trader Joe's - do you have one near you?

Hope you have a great week! :D

*cacklechoke* that is why I don't leave the house in the day time. Stupid 100+ degrees and me don't mix. God forbid I start to sweat and get the ass rash.

Hell.. ya look like me~! What ya doing looking like me eh?
LOL
It is rude how 'fresh' costs so much more! Pfffft... and next time? Leave it in the shop.. it is so not worth that much! Daylight robbery.
And if people think you fell off the turnip truck, they can go F*#k themselves. I hate being judged cos of my size or anything else for that matter.
No one is friggin perfect....
***except Brad Pitt**** droooool.

Whole Foods and Wal-Mart? I like them both, for different things. I like my local Whole Foods, because it has a salad bar and hot foods section where I can get a nice lunch, and I really like the well-trained and knowledgeable employees. And I like Wal-Mart for the great selection of fresh produce, and the unbeatable prices throughout the store. I never shop for staples at Whole Foods.

I actually once returned a package of toilet paper to Wal-Mart once because it was too expensive, and I didn't realize it until after I checked the receipt.
So when the lady at the return desk asked why I was returning the toilet paper, I told her it was because it was too expensive. At Wal-Mart. I felt stupid, but Target had it much cheaper, for realz.

we dont have a Whole Foods nearby, but I really really really wanna buy those tofu shiritaki noodles and cant find them anywhere else. I think you saved me a trip, cuz I cant afford shit there if a friggin bell pepper that prolly grows by accident lots of places on this earth cost $2.38!
Hubs has glasses and when they fog up he freaks--so I can imagine how you feel! I always think pissed people look a little sexy though, maybe its a mini-fetish, so I do think you look hot, and hawt in that pic!

Wow, that's ridiculous. I got my red bell pepper at Wal-Mart today for $1.88. W00t for Wal-Mart! (I just go there 'cause we don't have a Whole Foods.)

Capitalism ROCKS!

I usually get all stapels at Wally World too. Their produce sucks though. We have a Sprouts...is that the same thing? I do shop there cause it's close to my house.

Ouch on the pepper!
