Triple Word Score!

Girls' Night turned out to be no big deal. I'm still glad I let them know ahead of time that I was gonna be on my best behavior, although it sure didn't stop anyone from bringing the most sugary bullshit ever invented. It actually wasn't THAT hard to say no...even in the morning when everyone was hungover and eating fresh do-nuts all up in my face. And to be honest, by that time, I was pretty fucking hungry since I had dinner at like 5 the previous day like some elderly person at Kountry Kitchen Buffet. Thank goodness Angel has a diabetic son and that house never out of sunflower seeds. Whew.

One clear advantage to not drinking was that beating everyone at Scrabble was super easy. Behold...the Scrabble Queen!
Although, and I'm not trying to be cocky here, but I'm pretty sure I could have beat them drunk too. I'm just pretty decent at board games. It's like my life's calling.

In honor of the Scrabble Tournament, one lady made letter-shaped chocolates. Seeing as how I am a dork to the Nth degree and I get super excited finding my name on anything, I HAD to do this:
I didn't eat the chocolates when I was done though. I was gonna just throw them out since I'd been handling them but I forgot drunk people will eat anything and they especially love when you throw stuff at them to catch in their mouth. Like seals! Good times ensued.

All in all, I'd say it was a pretty great night. I realize that I can't expect people to change their fun just to satiate my "diet-of-the-month." I was able to have fun without the guilt and it feels pretty awesome. Also, I drank about a gallon of water. Turns out that trick does kinda work.

After about 3 hours of trying to figure out the self-timer, we were finally able to get a group pic:

I told everyone to throw up their "I'm-gonna-cut-this-bitch" face, and this is what we got. I dunno what the hell half of them were doing, but I guess not everyone cuts the same, you know?

Weigh-In today, and I sure hope the scale has some love for me considering how well I did all week. I had a pretty big loss last week, so my hopes aren't super high, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a good loss to get me back in first place with only ONE more week to go! We'll see what happens.

Hope you all had a good weekend! <3

Looks like so much fun, I am so jealous. I don't have many friends that are local anymore.

So glad you balanced your diet with your fun night out. That is key and looks like you did a great job. I don't really ever drink anymore, just once in a blue moon, and it was not due to the calories. It can be strange but very funny being the sober one around people who are drinking. Did I really act like that? LOL

Keep up the good work and can't wait to hear how your weigh in goes.

love the dunder mifflin t-shirt! i've made it through many exercise-biking sessions thanks to michael scott and the crew.

you might have been a good girl, resisting the donuts and chocolate letters, but you sure took the cake for pulling the sickest 'i'm-gonna-cut-this-bitch' face!

Wow, it looks like you had a great weekend!! You didn't drink, and you stayed away from the yummy food (haha, or at least didn't put any in your mouth)? You should be super proud! I don't think I could do that. You are strong and determined!

Sounds like a great time!! I love board games too (and consider myself a worthy Scrabble competitor as well). My husband is the Ultimate Board Game Geek. What are some of your favorite games? :-)

Hey lady - super proud of you! You are a really strong gal; I would have totally caved on the food issue. You are my hero.

On the stop following thing, here is what you do:
On your blogger dashboard, go down to your reading list. Click on the "Manage" button. Find the blog you don't want to follow anymore and click on the "settings" link. A new box will open; click on "stop following this site". A pop up will open asking if you are sure you want to stop following, click on "stop following". You will go back to the "manage" screen where it will refresh and that blog will now be gone! Just do that for each blog you want to stop following.

Way to go! I can't wait to hear your weigh in results. There's one thing about low carb.. it can surprise you with huge losses ... We need the whoosh before the contest is over!!!
Take care.

Dunder Mifflin FTW!

And, what is up with that!?!? I always wonder whenever I would go into the buffet why it was full of Seniors! They eat like a pickle and a cracker! How is that worth it to them, financially?

I wasn't satisfied to leave a buffet until they had to throw up their "closed" sign after I walked out! :)

Good for you! Group eating is the hardest thing for me to resist - I always use it as an excuse to go crazy, especially if other people in the group start eating crap.

way to rock the "Im gonna cut this bitch" face!! and WOW you really are being good; I am proud of you!

I used to waitress, very very badly I might add--at a touristy seafood place up in new hampshire in my late teens. The Oldies would start filing in for lunch just before 11 am and order up SEVERAL old timey drinks, like I dont know--dry martinis and manhattans and sloe gin fizzes and shit. They might have only nibbled the Sr. portion of baked haddock or fried clams but MAN they sure sucked down the BOOZE!!
Hope the scale shows you mad love today!

Looks like you had a great time!! WTG on the Scrabble win, and being strong and drinking all of that water!

We had a cookout this weekend at our house, so I was able to control what was there a little bit more, but there was still some dangerous goods there... I had a few tastes, but I was better than I thought I'd be! :) SCORE!
